I spent over an hour waiting for food, and when I got it (Cape breton classic breakfast), all but the eggs were lukewarm to cold, toast was sort of stale and the eggs were hard. The service was bad, we didn't even get drinks until after the food had gotten here and the server forgot about us. I had eaten here before and it was great, but I was extremely disappointed.
This is a homestyle diner serving simple, good food. If you want a full restaurant experience then you might want to visit elsewhere. However, if fresh ingredients, simple relaxed atmosphere, large portions and a full belly are what you value, then give it a try. Again, this is not gourmet dining, but comfort food at its best.
The food was delicious and plentiful! The staff were friendly and service was excellent. Worth the drive in from the highway.
One of my favorite restaurants! All home style food that's very yummy! Even their bread is home made.
Friendly atmosphere. We ordered our food to go.. the fish cakes (advertised as being the best in town) were good- just not to die for. Definitely recommend ordering one of their homemade cinnamon rolls!
